Since established in 1999, Top Western Culture Exchange Inc. has dedicated itself to promote professional, political and cultural interactions between Canada and China. Our services are related to the government official meetings, friendship and sister cities establishment, association communicative meetings, international economic and trade exchanges, educational exchange programs. In addition to those business categories, we are currently looking for an experienced candidate as the company’s Vice President to manage the company’s general operation and lead a new division to broaden our cultural exchange business. This new business division will be mainly focusing on bringing Chinese film and television producing companies to Canada for attentive supports from Canadian motion picture companies to conveniently access their filming facilities, equipment and services. To be a successful candidate of this job, you are expected to have strong management skills of a large company or organization, especially art, film and entertainment industry senior management experiences are strongly preferred.

Job Duties:
1. Strategic Planning:
• Lead the implementation of the company’s current strategies while identifying and planning short and long-term goals and initiatives of the new film and television cultural interaction division
• Develop and implement systems, policies, programs and other tasks that are related to the establishment of the new division to monitor progress toward achievement of the company’s goals and objectives
• Work closely with the President to evaluate and monitor the relevance of the new division’s operation and marketing development to align with the company’s strategic priorities
• Responsibilities to the company’s sales and marketing, business development, finance, administration, human resources and business planning
• Operation of the daily business routine and collaboration with the senior management team on the long-term business growth strategies
• Plan, assess and confirm the financial activities of the company’s regular business operation while relevant financial preparation is processing toward the new division’s establishment
• Work with the President to ensure support of short and long-term financial goals
2. Leadership
• Provide constructive leadership ensuring a healthy, positive culture to engage all internal staffs through effective and consistent communication
• Manage and develop staff through training, succession planning for new division’s establishment and operation in order to accomplish a consistent future business growth
• Coordinate with the company’s other offices’ in China to ensure effective communications and specific case processing details
• Formulate and approve the promotional process of the company in order to accomplish a successful middle managers selection
3. Client Relations
• Analyze situations and make decisions that will directly impact the relations between our company’s clients who are mostly government, organization, film & TV industry producers, regional film commissions and municipal film offices.
• Lead, develop and maintain ongoing positive working relationships with our film division clients, represent the company to contact, communicate, negotiate and meet with motion picture studios, post-production companies, animation and visual effects companies while developing and connecting with new clients
• Serve as the face of the company to attend meetings, conferences and film festivals that are relevant to our company’s businesses to coordinate both sides of our clients
• Oversee the development and delivery of presentations and other communications to government officers or film company representatives from China for project visiting, familiarizing our clients with local policies and regulations.

Qualifications:
1. A bachelor’s degree or higher in business administration, finance, art or another related subject
2. More than 5 years of experience as a senior manager in a large company or organization
3. Experiences in dealing with the government, political parties, educational organizations and entertainment or art companies are strongly preferred
4. Existing relations and connections with film, art and entertainment companies and clients in China are strongly preferred
5. Accountability for developing and leading good working relationships to work effectively as an initiative leader of the team
6. Excellent interpersonal and intercultural communication skills, including written and verbal fluency in English
7. Ability to interact effectively and tactfully with people of various backgrounds and cultures, including government officers, organization leaders, filmmakers and artists
8. Critical decision-making skills, and strong sense in understanding the company’s priorities
9. Exceptional conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
